I think either Eidos Montreal or Crystal Dynamics should start developing an HD remaster for Tomb Raider 1-5 for PS4 pro or for the PS5!! So how about that?

Or, Square Enix can get someone else to do that. Square Enix loves remasters, so you'd think they'd be all over this.

I think a good idea for a future TR game (If acrobatics returns, or at the very least non cover-based combat where not being behind a waist-high wall is death,) might be to give weapons a more noticeble range diffrence.
AOD, MIGHT have experimented with this (But due to being AOD it's hard to tell) since damage seems to be consistently higher in close range and the design documents/weapon descriptions talk about weapons being long/short ranged. So the Impactor could return but it would realistically have very short range in exchange for either being a 1 hit-kill or stunning enemies for a long time. (and probably not effective against supernatural foes.) Rifles would have lower overall damage but not drop off as drastically, so they do more damage over range. Maybe even lock-on range would be effected, so you have to manually aim with pistols over a longer range while you can still auto-aim with rifles. Shotguns would have short-ish range (or maybe upgrades/different ammo types) but hit hard and maybe have slugs (Big, slower bullets essentially.) turning them into a powerful rifle but being rarer. Maybe even heavier firepower weapons would restrict Lara's movement, such as Rocket Launchers. Last edited by Samz; 23-06-19 at 22:25. |
