hi jamjoom, i think i've realized a way to hopefully make the game crash less and maybe reduce the size of your TPFs

make them into DDS files and generate mipmaps for your textures! i think atombraiderfan might be able to help you out with generating mipmaps

https://www.tombraiderforums.com/sho...d.php?t=225979 they did so for their legend thread here.

i also think it would be worth reaching out to theindra on twitter to see if they have a tutorial for adding DDS files to DRMs and using it with their hook, which would make it more stable https://twitter.com/TheIndra5

I do this by using paint.net, which is free, and these are the settings I use for Legend/Anniversary textures:

Also DDS files use a 'lossy' compression, so make sure to keep your original texture edits in case there's a need to repeat the process.

Hello LateRider
I converted it before with the Format Factory program
to JPG format
The size has been greatly reduced
But some of the texture has lost its transparency, the result was fine
Maybe you can help me keep the original resolution
I've never tried with DDS format with generating mipmaps, well done that's a good idea

This is very good thank you
Can you explain the steps?
I didn't understand this site looks a bit strange to me

Thanks for that, it's working now

Mipmaps are smaller, pre-filtered versions of a texture image, representing different levels of detail (LOD) of the texture. They are often stored in sequences of progressively smaller textures called mipmap chains with each level half as small as the previous one.

Well this will make the mod more stable It helped me a lot thank you

yes LateRaider thanks dear
All these screenshots are from the 1.20 improved mod
You can watch some new videos on my channel
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H_qR...l=JAMJOOMGAMER
It is much better and more pure, unlike the old one that was somewhat random and limited
After converting files to dds, the mod has become small in size and can handle many files
I think you saved the mod from crashing
Through the idea of DDS format with generating mipmaps

Maybe you're interested on adding this outfit to your HD mod =)

Wish made it into the final game. Looks so vibrant even if is just a white color swap
