They probably wanted AOD to feel like a classic game.

The fact that AOD is a classic game the analog stick was fine since the camera controls were good in that game.

AOD is clearly not a classic. The story is much more developed, and not only based on an artifact, the gameplay is (or at least was planned to be) much more advanced, with RPG elements, and of course, the graphics are way higher than TR1-5.

Well it is because it's in the same era as TR1-5 so therefore AOD is a classic.

today I discovered that I can control Lara's destination with mouse. I'm mad about this game since 2003 and...:| how stupid I am sometimes :|

I'm good with the PS2 controls i just memorize both formulas of TR1-5 controls and TR6 controls.

True. We always put it in the same bag because it's made by Core, but the game itself is the first manifestation of the modern era we're in right now.
