Nakamichi, let me tell you, you are an absolute legend. You did so much for this community. You did so much for AoD. You showed how much you love it. And you spent one entire week with me to make me understand how CHR files work and how to make the Playable NPCs. I had so much fun making them. You always made us excited for new tools and features. You had no programming knowledge when you started modding the game, and now look how far you've come.

Long time no speak Nakamichi! Still great to see this is going so well and being used widespread.
Still going to drop an on-going issue as, you are the man it seems. - Option to change AUDIO STREAM - (eg. Japanese AWD are dual-stream audio. Channel 1 EN, Channel 2 JP. TRAODJ52 has an ingame audio selection between Japanese and English - only changes current memory not registry. Would love to play my JP AWD files, with the EN version. Only way I can think of is force AOD52E to play Channel 2 as a patch ongoing. -I MISS FLY MODE terribly. It is the only missing debug feature from 52J everything else besides fly mode. Hate having to play the EN version to get where I want to be, then save and copy over to JP version and even most of the time, the savegames don't work, depending on how it wants to feel at the time. EDIT! I just noticed your post about departure from the scene! you've done a fantastic job for, all of us. If you return, don't forget my unique questions hah! I hope you'll work on finishing to remaster the rest of this game as it looks more realistic than playing the PS2 version of the game!!! Keep up the great work everyone!!!

It has been a long time. Just a small update. Recently I've read some complains on the combat camera, which, combined with the horrendous controls, makes combats an awful experience. So I've tried to fix this issue by disabling combat camera/controls. This mod is experimental so if there are some glitches or it doesn't always work don't blame me, I've tried it for only 5 minutes so there could be some scenarios where it's worse than the original. This mod is for global TRAOD_P4 v52. 1) Open TRAOD_P4.EXE with an hex editor. 2) Search for this string: 83 C4 14 C7 45 00 8E 00 00 00 EB 08 3C 01 74 DA 3) Replace with: 83 C4 14 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 EB 08 3C 01 74 DA 4) Save and exit. 5) Done. |
