^^ That's amazing. There were some beta TR1 Peru textures (some never used) in one of the object folders too.

I'm tempted to build a base level now.

Those 'Hi Poly' TR1 Lara textures look like the missing head textures for the braid-head TR1 alpha model.

Did anyone find any other cool stuff? I tried to open the older PRJs but they don’t work

I did get the deep sea dive to open. It would be cool to fix it up some more and expand on it.

Wow the whole model is in there.

I don't know how to mod TR1, but it would be great to patch her in. The model seems slightly more advanced than the running demo seen online and in screenshots, she has proper hair textures unlike the braid still in the Lost Valley file.

It's also amazing to see the high quality source textures for a lot of classic stuff. The TR2/3 model's painted shirt texture looks so good, it's a shame it was basically ruined by compression.

It does look pretty close to the alpha model but I don't think it is. She looks a lot more detailed in the video we have. It's pretty much the final model just with a different head mesh. BUT there is a more detailed model somewhere (I think it might be the pistols_anim slot). It's untextured but now that we have the textures it might be possible to recreate it.

As for getting it into TR1, I've had a look but I haven't found a way to extract these models yet. You can import models from 3DS Max but you can't export them. The only way seems to be to build a function WAD but I haven't been able to do that yet. AnimEdit just crashes and complains about missing files, no matter what

I've looked at the model a lot more thoroughly, she has far fewer polygons (Hence being called LOWPOLY) than the one in the demo, and her textures are mapped on from screenshots of FMV Lara. Though I don't doubt that the higher resolution sunglasses textures and the single-shade brown hair textures on the palette are from the one in the demo.

I wonder if Core planned on putting in a low poly Lara as an optional graphic setting, or if she was just an early model.

Edit: Digging further, looks like TR2 Lara was designed to have leg textures.

Amazing, the holy grail of the TR and specifically the TRLE community has been discovered, after all these years!
Thank you for what everything you've done, Ash!
