I agree with Justin, there are sometimes notes like "do not modify this item without permission", and if the author isn't reachable and left no notes, I guess it is fine to edit.

On the other hand, what about uploading these edited items/outfits to hosting sites? I see that many creators modify PoYu's outfits and credit them but do not specify receiving permission.

We need a written "TRLE builder's code of honor"

Another question though.. Is there any way we can remove the flare anim when Lara picks an item up?

Hello,

I have a problem with the mirror effect, Lara is not showing up in the mirror
At first it worked very nice, my room was maybe too big as there was corridors around it that were part of the mirror room (no "doors"). But then there was a problem, the mirror room turned all black I don't know why (like I did not apply textures). I thought maybe my room was too big to be rendered correctly with the effect, so I splitted my room to cut the corridors and only have the mirror part in one room. Now the "all black/no texture" stuff is fixed but Lara does not show up anymore.

I tried the old way with the original TR4 scripting but it's not working. And I tried with the NGLE script and it's not working either. I don't know what to do...

with the old TR4 way I checked everything and I spotted no mistakes. Even with the HEX number, the mirror being on the left of the real room...
With the NGLE script there's not really any room for a mistake...

My script now is :

MirrorEffect= 175, 176, MIR_WEST_WALL

175 being the "real room" and 176 the "reflection room". I tried "MIR_EAST_WALL, MIR_SOUTH_WALL and MIR_NORTH_WALL" and it didn't work either. I don't know what to do anymore.

does anyone had this issue before ? Or does it reminds someone about a problem/issue I missed ?
it feels very weird to me because I had mirrors in a previous level set and never had a problem with it...

^ did you enabled mirror flipeffect? you need trigger it and antitrigger.

Thanks for your answer PedroTheGamer !

I tried the flipeffect and while it works (the "hidden room" as it's called appear and disappear with the triggers) Lara is still not showing up in the reflection

Maybe the problem is choosing the wrong cardinal direction?
I mean, eg. when you say "north", that follows the game compass only in TE. Otherwise (in TRLE and NGLE), it is turned by 90 degrees anti-clockwise.
TRNG cardinal direction script constants (or trigger parameters) always follow TRLE/NGLE directions. Like even MIR_WEST_WALL.
(Note: in TE Editor Options you can choose to show TRLE/NGLE directions in TE.)

Thank you AkyV for your answer !! I tried to play around with both of your ideas and I don't know what solved the issue exactly because I tried a looot of different combinations but she eventually showed up in the reflection !!! I'm very happy about it, thank you very much to both of you for your help !!!!
