Are there a lot of cases of cats decimating wildlife in Australia? That's the only reason I can think of to do something like that.

That’s very much the case. In the past 230 years since Europeans arrived in Australia, cats have made at least a dozen species extinct, and they kill around two billion wild animals each year. Source: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/scien...lly-180977235/

Cats that run free are massive problems and kill massive amounts of birds and other animals, regardless of whether they want to eat them or not. This problem is especially pronounced in areas that didn’t use to have cats, where the local wildlife has no ways of escaping them.

A lot of the Rittenhouse prosecution seems to be driven by spite. It's quite illuminating.

That guy who fired 900 employees on a Zoom call.

Doing it over Zoom was IMO unnecessary.

Several years ago I read somewhere about a guy who turned on the fire alarm so that everyone would leave then when they were all outside he locked the door and told them they were fired, he turned on the fire alarm so that he could lock the door to prevent them from occupying the shop in protest.

The next man in top is my boss who for some reason still hasn't digitised our business via this awesome service.
That guy didn't simply fire 900 employees. He ruined the reputation of his business. So did the second one

.
Not just firing them on Zoom, but the way he did it. "The last time I did this, I cried. Hopefully that won't happen again.". I'm paraphrasing , but that's the gist of it. And not so much as a week's notice. And just a few weeks before Christmas, which is one of the most expensive times of the year.

I saw it in one of today's newspapers that a basketball coach at an unnamed high school for girls in America was suspended after his side showed no mercy and won a game 92-4.

The Coach should definitely not have been suspended just because his team won the game and his suspension sends the message that if you succeed you will be suspended.

Someone clearly doesn't like winners, I wonder if the team was suspended too.
