Story-wise there is major disconnect. Trinity is a minor easter egg that doesn't play a part of the main story in TR2013. Then Trinity in Rise is entirely different from Trinity in Shadow. Lara discovers Konstantin killed her father; but then in Shadow she discovers it was Dominguez. One overarching villain would've helped. Discovering Mathias used to work for Trinity also would've helped somewhat. The final chapter of a trilogy (Shadow) should always somehow connect us back to the first chapter (TR2013). It sadly didn't.

You can't really appreciate AOD without playing TR4/5. You definitely can't appreciate TRU without playing TRA and TRL. But with the Survivor "trilogy" you can play Rise or Shadow without playing any of the others and get just as much or as little out of it. Besides cosmetic appearance, they don't form a unified whole.

LAU is a trilogy but I think it's themes are underdeveloped, especially in how they kind of dopped everything established in Legend and Anniversary and went off on some wild tangent about Norse runes Helheim in Underworld.

It could have been tied together so much better. Underworld should have culminated in Lara going through one of those dais portals we saw in Legend, which transports her back in time to a place that doubles-up as the mythical Avalon/Helheim but is actually the fall of Atlantis happening in real-time.

The survivor trilogy is more or less the same story happening 3 times in a row. The game starts with some horrible accident that leaves Lara vulnerable and weaponless, and she finds herself in a race against some merc organisation for the McGuffin while she "BeComEs ThE tOmB RaIdEr" in the process. Rinse repeat, the beginning of the next game she's back to being the same awkward weaponless girl with all the charisma of a drunk sloth.

Will always love that Legend render. The face, the pose, the colours. Really nailed it imo. I think they really need to give Lara that hint of red/brown hair back again. Recently it just looks almost black. But of course, she needs those striking features back and not be looking like plain Jane anymore.

Just saw this image yesterday when watching this Youtuber's commentary on how ugly Lara has become. It's scary to me how much worse Survivor Lara looks every time she does the photo-mode smirk.

I'm not familiar with this TR influencer, but she seems to have some good takes regarding the recent Weta statue:

I’m so used to RLara looking miserable and weak. It was weird seeing her crack a smirk with that photo mode tool.
