https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%...FB2D14F5621F5F it's the exe called "stepback"

i think if we were able to combine this with the following:

- Increased running speed
- Enable all moves on stairs
- Restored blood/snow

this would be a more vanilla-friendly alternative to flat-out using sasho's "recovery patch." ideally we'd include the camera controls too but that might be asking for a bit much lol
Very interesting! Would be best indeed to combine these mods. Perhaps you can try to contact sasho and ask if he/she could combinr them?

IDK, sasho stopped actively working on the game for a reason. I don't really want to charging in and make demands or beg requests

Yes I can understand, but there's nothing wrong with asking politely is there? As long as you accept no for an answer without nagging it's okay I think

I guess I could try getting a hold of him. I don't know how since I don't have Facebook

I think Sasho only stopped actively modding because he was pursuing other projects at the time. On his Facebook page, he mentioned something about having a fully functioning C Compiler that can be used for AOD.

Is it possible to disable the blur effect and Lara's weakened animations when low health? I think they're great mods, but I think I prefer running without them for me personally.

We're trying to message Sasho for that right now, actually. If he doesn't reply or can't help, you have a couple of options. One of them is to just delete the bin folder from traod rescued before installing and play with the vanilla controls. The other is use Sasho's mod from a post or 2 ago of mine which is vanilla controls but Lara hops back while in run mode, which doesn't seem to work that well on stairs.

Hopefully Sasho sees the desire for plain tank controls with a couple of weeks, and gets back to Jathom. Sorry for the inconvenience; that's what happens when it's not my mod unfortunately.

If he does reply this is what I hope we can expect to see

- Lara hops back instead of walking backward while in run mode
- Increased running speed
- Remove walk-to-run transition
- Enable all moves on stairs
- Restored blood/snow

Btw, there is one additional fix nakamichi680 once shared on the forums and that works flawlessly, but hasn't been implemented in the multipatcher. It's a fix you have to do manually for now with a hexeditor. I tested it and it works very good. It's such a relief to finally have the hop functional.

Found a solution to this annoying small jump bug. It turned out that the issue wasn't lying in the animation handler but inside _playControl function.

Search for this string inside the exe: 0F 28 E3 F3 0F 11 64 24 58 F6 C2 04 75
Replace with this one: 0F 28 E3 F3 0F 11 64 24 58 80 FA 0C 74

(everything after 58 is changed)

This fix applies to p4 v.52 executable.
Also another fix:

Sometimes one of Lara's (or Kurtis') fringes and a triangle just above Lara's bum (on the jeans outfit) glitch and jitter. This can easily be fixed by pressing F10 on your keyboard. It's as simple as that.

Oh cool, I'll bundle that into the next release!

Edit - in the meantime, here is the modified sasho v6.6.4 exe with this fix. it's ready to be customized with TRAOD EXE Multi-patcher

I'm really hoping that Jathom hears back from Sasho before I release a new update; I'd like to bundle in a tweaked vanilla control patch if possible.
