Default Is there a mod that allows me to edit the hit points of enemies?

Hey,

Looking to see if there is any kind of mod or method for the PC version to make the enemies harder to take down? I know I could just do a pistols only runthrough, but I really enjoy the resource management side of using the right gun for the right enemy and saving ammo for the tougher bad guys.

Anyone know of anything along the lines of what I'm looking for?

The "New Game +" mode would've been that game mode were it not for the game giving you all weapons with unlimited ammo. Enemy health values are coded into the exe if I'm not mistaken, so a patch like TR2main would be what you want... whenever it gets finished and if Arsunt decides to add what you're asking for into his patch if he hasn't already.

In steed of the classic Japanese TR games for PS1

I have for my own fun made some 'easy and hard exes" for the classic pc games. Relating to damage given from each of Laras weapons. not actual enemy health directly.

Easy- all gun shots strength are double! As per Japan PS1
Hard- all gun shots are equivalent to one pistol shot. Not per anything, did this for lols xD

Just by way of hex weapon dmg editing.

This sounds a bit like what you may be after! Or not! It's pretty limited

you can edit arsunts source code and give each and every enemy the wanted health value.

i did something like this a few years ago and gave every enemy triple the health

because of a typo i gave crows five times their health instead of three times

I know that in TR1 when you play the game for the second time, the enemies get higher hit points and hence are more difficult to kill. Is this the same for TR2 ?

its the same for the first 3 games but you also have unlimited ammo which defeats the want for ammo management

Yes! But apparently not exactly the same as TR1 (a clear double hp)

What do you mean? All three original games had a NewGame+ mode that did both things:
  • Double enemy HP
  • Give you full weapon set with unlimited ammo

Thanks for clarifying. These is a thread or two in this subforum that claims the (end of game TR2 bonus effect) is not the same as TR1 precisely. Obviously a non thing then!

fun fact: new game+ is started by the game the second you get unlimited ammo weapons. so if you cheat them, enemies also get double hp. if you disable unlimited ammo again, enemies get their normal hp value back (always starting next level)
