I have never understood why there needed to be so many "man with stick" enemy types in TRII.

Hi, glad you like it. The final two images I planed to show are two unused animations. It doesn't make sense to show only the first frame, so I decreased the file dimensions. You can always download the full-sized images from the links in the first post.
========== The first unused animation is from the kayak in Madubu Gorge of TR3. I almost laughed when I saw this animation. People always complain that the kayak is difficult. But you know what? It was designed to be much more evil than the current version. The kayak can flip over, and Lara needs to correct it in time I guess. You can use TRView to check: It's the animation #20 of the kayak. |

The second unused animation is from Von Croy in Angkor Wat of TR4.
Von Croy was planed to be able to attack air enemies. The model of bats is in the level file of Angkor Wat, so I think that animation is to attack the bats. I don't know if it's really unused: If we edit the level file and put bats in Angkor Wat, what will happen? But I guess, Von Croy is too clumsy to destroy the extremely agile bats, so the level designers finally gave up the idea. |
