OK this sounds super basic stuff - but I cannot get it to work.

Trying to change some SFX - so I used Audacity to convert MP3 into the correct Mono PCM 16 bit format used by TRLE.
Edited the sounds.txt file and exported it using the batch file..

However, when I go into WADMerger, the sound doesn't show in the list..
I want to add a SFX for when Lara picks up an item, but 'Lara_Pickup' doesn't show in WADmergers animation editor.

Am I missing something out?

Try this tutorial, it helped me a lot: http://www.skribblerz.com/nglemanual2/ngle99x.html

^Thats the tutorial I followed, but when I get near the end (WADmerger)
the sound isn't selectable to add to the WAD.

Really strange.. other Lara related sounds show up but not the LaraPickup

I was converting the sounds the manual old TRLE way - so might try a program like Screamer - see if that works?

Better try TRLE Sound Editor or SFX Manager.

Screamer works fine to, I used to use it a lot, but it does not run on Win8.
(Or perhaps it is 64bit systems in general that it doesnot like. )
So I've been using TRLE Sound Editor for ages now and it works like a charm.
You can enter custom sample names and values very easily (you basically edit the sounds.txt) and converting to the new .sfx and .sam files is all done by the program.

Thanks..
Sad news - my project will not be featuring elevators.
I tried to make the animating doors smaller than usual (only half a block wide) and then use fake walls for the sides - this way I could place the doors inbetween 2 TRLE squares.
However, I ran into some errors and the doors would show up through the walls and things..
I'm just gonna use an object to symbolise closed doors and a wall - but have it not usable :/

As far as I know, the biggest ID in Num field of the flyby OCB panel is 30. So I suppose you can have maximum 31 cameras, from ID0 to ID30.
(I can't remember where I got that number from, though. It is an info from Paolone, or I did some trial and error tests...?)

It looks familiar, so I think you are right.
Thanks.
It means I'm still good with this cutscene I'm working on.

I never did find an answer. If you ever find a solution, I'd be interested to know what it is.
