dcw123 your work is really impressive! are you going to release that level or at the least a ''remaked'' level screenshot?

And um.. don't you guys have some new for this thread? is dying.. so sorry but i had to revive it...

Sadly no... the TRLE limitations were too much sadly - I have something else in mind, but I chose Vilcabamba, not Caves.. so the lil boat isn't going to be in the level

Unless I blend the two levels into one big one, but that'd require a lot of work

That's bad
I Always wanted to try to make TRAE in TRLE, maybe i could do that after i am finished with TRA2, but you know i don't wanna start to make remakes and more remakes.

Unreal engine don't look nothing like what TRAE was supposed to be, TRAE more likely used a updated version of the TRC engine.

No. TRAE's engine had nothing to do with the TR1-5 or AoD engines. It was a completely new engine which Core had previously developed for their game Free Running.

That's not really my point though (I could just as well have mentioned Unity or any other hi-end game engine available for purchase). My point is that I would love it if someone made a fan 'remake' of TRAE (based on the concept art and footage that exists) and obviously the Free Running engine Core used for it isn't available for any of us to use anyway.

You will receive C&D orders for using any engine other than TRLE to make a TR game of any kind, though.

Yeah, but that's too bad though. I also think it's sort of an outdated practice tbh.
I mean, many companies (Square/Crystal included) both allows and supports many types of fan art like fanfilms etc. They don't really make any restrictions there as long as it's non-profit and clearly fanmade. IMO it should be the same with games. Non-profit fanmade games ought to be allowed, no matter what game engine is used.
(Isn't the TRLE heavily fanmodded almost beyond recognition as well? TRNG? )
