Eh, this is not for me, but there is definitely an audience for this sort of lite-model. Now, let's see when the also rumoured Pro model gets announced.
I think the premise of the Lite is super smart. A ton of consumers say they only play their Switch portably, and this is a great way to get into the console for $100 less. I think it's a great deal for a certain type of consumer. Not for every one.

It would be good if you could connect it to the TV via HDMI/ other cable, though I suspect you could do that if you wanted to.

I suppose you might as well get the standard switch if you wanted to do that. Mind you the design of this is nice.

No need, it's the exact same model, just internally revised to be more power efficient.
I assume the heat production will be less as well.
Curious if they'll manage to make a fanless model down the line.

Do you think they'll solve the joycon drift issue?

Depends, with the new colours coming, it's possible that they'll get different parts or not. Myself haven't had the drifting yet (thankfully?), but we'll see.

I think that, at least for now, if they could have go fanless, the Switch lite would already be. But if Nvidia does come with yet another Tegra X1 revision (doubtful, but it could happen), we might see one indeed.

Nintendo recently criticized on how cheap the switch is particularly the controllers

Even with warranty you still have to pay for the shipping smh Nintendo

Curious why people have to pay shipment, Europe seems to be very fair on that. When I had my connectivity issues at launch, I had to pay nothing to have them fixed and got my controller back in mere days.
