The company I work for made multiple acquisitions, and had to sell others to comply with the law. They'd send us internal e-mails when the deals were closed and investigation done.

I wonder what Sony will do with this information. Possibly move to buy something else? I think a few years ago there was a rumor Sony was going to acquire Take Two (Rockstar/GTA) and that kinda faded. Maybe they’ll do it this time, just to secure a good foothold on something that is massively popular and profitable.

I don't think they can afford it. Microsoft has **** you money so they can just outbid them if they want to.

Is it though? Shooters are popular on Xbox and with their penchant for just throwing money at stuff they may even be able to pull back some of those tarnished IPs.

Sony are far too busy sitting on their laurels to do anything productive. MS have come a long way in the past 10 years since the XBONE debacle and actually are offering a great consumer product atm. I had a PS4 last gen, no Xbox and decided to get a series X this gen just because it was more readily available, black and offered payment plans and it had one or two more exclusives I wanted to play but right now I'm glad I made the move. Even if it was pure coincidence it's serving me well.

I didn't buy a new console yet but I might switch to Xbox actually. They got Gamepass.

I've been very pleasently surprised by GP. I get it bundled in with my monthly console cost as part of all access but it's let me try so many games and now that theyre launcing XCloud too it works well cause I can play games away from home. Ill admit I wasn't a fan of MS at all last gen but they're going from strength to strength as a service provider this gen.
