IMO, Bartoli's Hideout is probably the most "meh" level to me. I don't have any good or bad feelings towards this level. Maybe because it's sandwiched in between one of my least favorite levels in TRII (Venice) and one of the better levels of TRII (Opera House). Plus, the level feels pretty uneventful for the supposed hideout of a deadly cult. Where is all of the furniture? Why are all the floors and stairways broken away? Why are there cult members guarding out of reach areas?

Finished TR3 most recently so the memory is very fresh here. The most meh from that game for me is definitely Antarctica. All other levels have something positive or negative that stand out. Temple Ruins has insane traps, Coastal Village and Nevada Desert have great visuals, Thames Wharf has confusing vertical design, Tinnos has infamous wasps, etc. Antarctica is just boring to me, don't look forward to playing it, don't particularly hate playing it either.

The most meh levels in the old games would be Offshore Rig & Diving Area. Too much human and grey, weapon collecting and gun fighting, which I believe was better in Tomb Raider 3 Nevada, and it didn't help that they were between two great sections of the game, Venice and the wreck of Maria Doria.

İt was the first industrial area in the series, so it is quite iconic too. But!!! The combat, the barrel traps, the flamethrower guys, the atmosphere; it was just OFF. |
