Okay so the Sims 4 has been dead to me for a good while now. I don't play it and I think the last pack I got was University in like 2019? I've only opened the game a couple of times to build something.
But leak of a new expansion pack coming could well entice me back to play The Sims 4 again. I've always loved the concept of building and living in apartments and expected to be able to do this in City Living back in 2016. But here we are, 7 years later and that dream may have finally come true. https://simscommunity.info/2023/10/2...xpansion-pack/ The Sims 4 For Rent: Quote:

Why? It's gonna be broken af anyway, just like all the other packs.
Sims 2 and 3 are so much better than this sorry excuse of a game. |

The issue with packs as of late is barren they’ve become. Having survived long enough to experience LAUNCHES dating back to The Sims 1, an expansion pack geared towards being a landlord seems incredibly small. A few months ago we got horses as it’s own pack when that was a feature in a TS3 pack.
Not only that, but we got apartments in an expansion pack already, so the feature is being sold again with no other major features included with it, or any other form of property ownership. Name a TS4 pack better than Nightlife or Open For Business. You can’t. TS3 couldn’t even do that. While I’m looking forward to apartments, I know I should expect a barebones property ownership system and minimal pack integration. Even Apartment Life has content for cities and social systems.

This is the only pack in a while that has seemed interesting to me. Unfortunately, as others have said, it will probably be a barren buggy mess on release. The thing is with Sims 4 expansions is that they barely expand anything. The older i get the harder and harder i find myself justifying the 40 dollar price tag for just a small amount of content

I don't doubt the pack will be just as empty and buggy as the others. I'm just excited to build proper apartments and have multiple households on one lot. Something I've wanted for ages.
![]() Hopefully I'll get it with a discount on CDkeys so I'm not paying full price.

I will probably end up moving most of my main Sims families into the same apartment complex for the drama

exactlyyy. All the affairs and relationship drama I wanna do will be fun. Have the different apartments fit each families style and quantity. All in one place will be so much easier to play with.
