They’re hardly worse than the Jolie films or some of the previous games, like Underworld, with a few scenes that would adapt quite nicely on-screen (Alicia fighting jaguars ).

I don’t want them to adapt any game, because they can’t. Theyve already established a “no-supernatural” rule thing which I’m 99% sure they’ll continue with.

However, they COULD adapt some scenarios and moments from the video games. Here’s a list of what I’d like to see.

-Bear attack scene.
-Tsunami scene.
-Leg pinned under rock while tracking trinity.
-Piranha/Eel attack.
-Croft manor interior fight scene from Rise.
-Oil field sequence.
-Jungle stealth kills, letting her hair down and getting covered in mud.

I don’t think they’d have the budget for that. . .

Rise has the best amount of scenes and events that may turn the movie into a cool, worth re-wtaching, action flick, and the story is decent also and they can come up with some of their own ideas.

Rise would work great as an action-adventure epic. I think Shadow would be better later on, when they want to do more with Lara's character. I think the sequel should just focus on the adventure itself.

If they do Rise, I think the story can potentially be even better than the game, since we won't have to deal with the daddy issues.

I would love for globe trotting and multiple locations too.

I totally agree and am on board with what you want. I’m just not sure they’d have the budget. Thanks for the incredibly rude and hurtful response.

I was convinced that globe trotting would have been amazing but now I'm not so sure.

I mean, I thought that the whole third act set entirely inside the tomb was a great choice in the first movie and I'd like this formula to return (it's Tomb Raider after all, not a generic action movie).

I think the best thing (if they take inspiration from Rise) is just three locations:
1)London and Croft Manor (shown only at the beginning and at the ending)
2)a very small section in Syria
3) main location: Syberia

Including both Syberia and Peru would make them both not feel so important and there won't be enough time to develop a serious tomb section.
