Wooow, that bird monster looks so good
Is it hardcoded the fact that if Lara kills him the level ends, or it can be customized? Because in TR2 that enemy appears three times, and in all cases the level ends when the bird monster dies.. |

I am using GIMP. When the palette is so limited such as here, there is a wonderful tool called "coloring" that lets you pick from all possible colors to recolour a selection and you can see the change in realtime.

Progress
A small update on the game.
I have been thinking hard about how to organize the ideas for the 6th map and connect them, i have more or less figured it out now. Built some more of the map, there's about 13 mins of playtime right now, so it is going good. That makes it ~35% complete. Began experimenting with springboards, built a cool little segment using one. The object limit could be a problem, i hope i have enough space for everything. There's a room with crumbling tiles and spikes below so it takes a good chunk of object space. :\ |

I could never work on one project for nearly a year and a half. Maybe that can change. Nicely done.
I just saw the modifications to the bird monster and it looks a lot better than the original. I may need to try this with TR4 enemies. |

Yes they are sprites in TR2.
Unfortunately, if you change the color then anything that sets Lara on fire also will have that color, like lava/death sectors. :\ There's no lava on this level, so it's ok if the death sectors set you on purple flames. |

Nice.
My only suggestion would be reworking Lara's outfits, they're exaggeratedly colorful. Try a more beige yellow top for the first outfit. I don't really know how you could improve the swimsuit, but maybe go with red and black like in the beta version of TR2. |
