I'll give you an example: I work in a multinational company, with over 10000 employees - so I don't really know everybody there in person.
One day, someone called Tracy wrote me an E-mail, asking for my support. We exchanged quite a few messages, until I realized, that Tracy actually was a guy. I've addressed him with "her" for quite a few e-mails before he corrected me (in a polite way).
So a person, I will probably never see in real life, and for whom I will probably never have any indication on how he looks like, asked me to use "he/him" when talking about him, as this is how he is "correctly" addressed. What difference does it make, if he is actually male? I don't know how he looks like anyway, so what do I care?

How is this any different to any other person, stating their pronouns, asking people to use them when talking about them. How does that make them narcissistic? It baffles me, how you people seem to go completely overboard with your reasoning, just to demonstrate your "un-wokeness".

How simple pronouns could trigger poeple that much ? Especially in 2022. All of this looks like 2017 for me and we're still stuck there ?
I don't know how this could affect the next Tomb Raider story. I agree nowadays series and films lack subtlety when they tried to send a message. All should be obvious and on the nose for them. Maybe that is why some of you are afraid ?

10 pages of misguided “discourse” over some pronouns in a bio. What effect do pronouns and gender identity have on the ability to tell a story? I beg detractors to give me serious examples where pronoun discourse and usage have infiltrated the media they consume in such a way that it has diminished the quality of a final product.

They/them have been used as a singular pronoun for decades. Honestly, unless the way someone identifies impacts your life in a horrible way, just leave them be. (Oh would you look how easy it is to refer to someone as them, an guess what, the world didn’t implode).

I don’t normally get involved in conversations like this, the way someone identifies has absolute zero impact in my life. You want me to call you they/them fine, you want me to call you it/thing fine. I’ll respect another human being because I would like to think of myself as decent and respectful. Also, if you have such a massive problem referring to them by their (oh look done it again) pronouns, here’s a mind blowing alternative for you. Use their (oh look again) names instead?

Like I said earlier, before the drama swallowed it up, I'm hoping the story is going to be a more simple affair this time. A simple, but interesting and effective chase the artifact story that can be slotted in around the game. In that sense a writer coming on mid project isn't all that worrying.

The fact the story and lines aren't completed only means that they're not ready to record and mocap the cutscenes. Still, gameplay and levels should be quite advanced by now, at least the outline.

People like you that pretend to understand the suffering of others know nothing of it.
You can indentify as whatever you want just dont force me to change the way I speak, the way we all used words for thousands of years.
How would you know about contemplating suicide? Do you know anything of it? Or you just talking to show that you are supportive of trans people.
It seems that you want supremacy of a certain group.
I want equality for all individuals regardless of who they are or they think they are. I want to be able to dissagree with other without being labeled as racist or transphob. Cause me not agreeing with changing the meaning of pronouns to whatever each individuals wants too does not equal I want trans people to suffer or die or change themselves.
But in this years no one can speak their minds. We others that have other opinions need to shut up cause others may be suffering out there. Newsflash, most of these vocal people they did not struggle or suffered at all. And this way they diminish the struggle and suffering of trans that really had a hard life.
