Grace trashed the film in her usually classy way but if the critics seem to agree I think Tomb Raider has a fantastic opportuntity to make an example of "Old Hollywood" roles and wow everyone with this feminine but feminist new Lara Croft that isn't sexualised anymore.

You know, even just judging by the trailers you can tell Red Sparrow has something wrong with it whereas Tomb Raider seems coherent and not that cliche.

For me it's the 14th I have seen to much (and read way too much) but I'm sure Alicia will be unforgettable as Lara Croft.

So... A little competition there, but the demographic is very different. TR has real potential to become something huge. I believe the feminist Lara angle is as important as the "breaking the video game adaption curse" angle. If we start reading both things I think we are golden. |

Unforgivable? Are you expecting her to be bad? Perhaps you're thinking of a different word? Unforgettable, perhaps? Anyhoo, did we ever seriously see Red Sparrow as a viable threat to TR as competition? They're entirely different genres with different target audiences. |
