I guess because Nate is somewhat similar to what I remember of Carver from the comics. I low-key hope Carver ends up in the games.

Well that one be one reason they shouldn't get Tomb Raider. It's just with Chole and how badass she is and how she flaunts herself with confidence and zero shame, I have reason to believe that they at least wouldn't be scared to death to give Lara her classic outfit back or the duals. To me they don't seem like a company who is scared of strong, confident, and physically appealing women like CD, Square, and EM have been.

Only for writing, animations,

Then refining graphics and gameplay elements,

But i'm not a fan of the setpieces and lots of combat in the game though. :/

Plus it seems so linear from what i've seen from gameplay...like I can't really "get" lost?

Idk.

TR by Naughty Dog: hey, do you want TR2013 with more clichés and an even simpler gameplay?
Follow Lara in the most predictable of her adventures, making her way through auto climbing sections and set pieces where it doesn't matter what you do, the game will do it for you.
And this time she cracks jokes and laughs about who she kills, so she has personality!
And maybe a friend who helps her to climb somewhere.
90+ on Metacritic.

No thanks. I would very much prefer TR to take a 10 years hiatus.

But at least you'd get to play as Lara eating a salad on the couch and playing a PS1!

I absolutely agree with you on all those points. ND have become SJW central thanks to Neil Cuckmann. TLOU2 is going to be one hell of a **** show, and I can't wait for the inevitable hilarity of it all. When it comes to gameplay, ND have never done it well. Uncharted 1-3 had a great story, great graphics, and amazing music. But gameplay? Nah. And the overlinear world is just the last nail in the coffin.

I also agree with you about Amy. That's why I love the first 3 UC games, and frankly I can't even with 4 and LL.

The last games from ND I played and loved were the Jak and Daxter series, but I can't say anything about their current games really wow me. I did watch a playthrough of The Last of Us which is good as a movie... just not as a game. That's the last thing I'd want TR to turn into, which like Yeauxleaux said, would be the opposite direction I'd want for the series.

I want a return to form, something like the classic or LAU games but perhaps modernized in some way, just not so far removed as to lose everything that made it unique.

Unfortunately until I hear otherwise, that isn't the direction they will be going with the series. I have a feeling that I will have to move on to indie games to find anything worth playing anymore. TR hasn't really been itself for at least 10 years now, and even during LAU I still felt it was too different, though I'd certainly take that over what it's currently become. I don't need high drama, high action set pieces and oodles of men to shoot for a TR game to be engaging... I prefer the quiet platforming, traps, exploration and so on. That's why I play TR, and not a TPS.

That's a strawman you're attacking. Never said anything about a lesbian kiss
