Considering it doesn't merge statics with geometry it gives you ability to use MIPs on statics while still having good lighting. You can also still move statics with scripting with this applied. You won't reach vertex limit per room as quickly. TE doesn't allow that if you merge statics, since they become part of geometry.
Btw all these new patches are simply amazing. Frankly I didn't even know it's possible to fix lighting on statics. Last edited by Caesum; 02-08-22 at 19:00. |

What caesum said, also, shatters crash if you merge them into room geometry then shoot at them, this patch allows shatters to react to dynamic lights without the need to merge them
