(sorry for the late reply, I forgot to reply when I got on my PC last time I checked the thread)

EDIT: When I attempt to connect a pin to the video decoder, I get VFW_E_CANNOT_CONNECT (0x80040217), which I'm looking up what that means now.
EDIT 2: MS Website explains it to mean, "No combination of intermediate filters could be found to make the connection." Okay I don't know what I can do from there...
Notice how I used the 32 bit version of the program (since the game is 32 bit, so it relies on 32 bit libraries)

This happens even with the 32bit version (when I try connecting the pin I mean)

Ok I guess I have found the problem.
Starting with Windows 8, mpeg-2 is no longer between built-in codecs.

So.. I guess you should look for alternatives

Such a simple solution, I don't know why I didn't think of that. God, I hate that Windows changes things like that when you upgrade...

Thanks a lot, Mirh, I appreciate it

ffdshow 1.3.4533 works for me, you have to launch the video decoder configuration, find where it says MPEG2, click the drop down menu, and lastly select libavcodec. The files work with both video and audio after that.

Hope you don't mind me posting this in your thread, i guess it falls under a mod? I dunno if this has been done before but here's my attempt on it. I never liked the way the FMV's looked on the PC or PS2 version of the game, but they were particularly rough in the PC version. The colour is wrong on both versions but the PS2 uses MPEG2 and has uncompressed audio (the PC uses MPEG1 and the audio is compressed to 192kbps). The intro was also positioned wrong in the PC version so it was always off centre. So i took the PS2 versions and tweaked the colours so they're correct (note black is now black and not a very light gray).

Before (left)|After (right)

To use them in the PC version just download and extract the two links below to the Data/FMV folder overwriting the files Thanks to Suikaze Raider for providing the Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, and Russian videos to work with!

English - Part 1|Part 2
German - Part 1|Part 2
French - Part 1|Part 2
Italian - Part 1|Part 2
Spanish - Part 1|Part 2
Japanese - Part 1|Part 2
Korean - Part 1|Part 2
Brazilian Portuguese - Part 1|Part 2
Russian - Part 1|Part 2
Polish - Part 1|Part 2
I tried installing them in my game, but after installing them, the FMV's only play audio, while the actual video doesnt play.Does anyone know why this happens?

^ Download LoreTheGamer's version instead and it should work just fine. It also has few tweaks over rewak's one:

Those ones not only worked properly, they fixed the first 3 FMV aspect ratios too! Most ones i found had those at 4:3 with horizontal black bars.
