@LateRaider: Welcome and thanks by upload the updated version

@Turok: I'm going to response you:

About iOS Textures & TR2 Gold executables compatibility, you should to ask to Peixoto in his "New patch, texture modding tool and mod manager for TR II" thread. Here is off-topic and that could be a Forum's Rules breaking, as the consecutive massive posting.

TR2 Gold has various executables (CD and Full Net Version, and in every language they're different too) and maybe these versions aren't compatible. I don't know what versions are supported by Peixoto's Solution, but a not compatible version can to create additional bugs and/or to crash the game.

I got the last version of TR2 Gold executables (From CD Version) and I shared them with LaterRaider for our solutions.

Our current audio solution was made by Michael87 (Or I think that), and it doesn't work on Windows 10, like I said in my TR2 Updater thread. For Windows 10 you can use Barracuda's Solution (It works with TR1 & TR2 and it supports *.ogg & *.flac audio. Check "Soundtrack" Section)

Quality Lose is minimal, because I ripped the audio as uncompressed *.wav and later I converted it as MP3 320Kbps.

PaulD's Solution is not compatible with TR2 Gold executables. He edited TR2 executable to play the audio, and that code is inside of "tomb2.exe" file, not in "winmm.dll" or "sound.dll".

To use TR2 executable to play TR2 Gold levels (To rename it doesn't change anything) is not a good solution because wolves don't work and bears crash the game.

Best Regards.

You can download the wrapper using this link:

And I uploaded TR2 Audios here:

Download:
Download: TR2 Audios in *.flac Format (01/03/2017)

Notes About Audio Files:
Common Audio: tr2_audio_part01_flac.zip, tr2_audio_part02_flac.zip & tr2_audio_part03_flac.zip.
Localized Audio: tr2_audio_<Locale_Code>_flac.zip.
Mac Style Audio: tr2_audio_macosx_flac.zip.

Installation:
  1. Uncompress wrapper files where TR2 and/or TR2 Gold are installed.
  2. Create "music" folder where TR2 and/or TR2 Gold are installed.
  3. Uncompress every Common Audio Pack inside of "music" folder.
  4. Repeat the last step with Localized Audio.
  5. Optional: If you want to use the Mac Style Track, uncompress and replace the file "Track33.flac" from that Audio Pack.
Best Regards

Track #33 (In Mac/MacOSX: action03) is slower in Mac and MacOSX than in PC & PlayStation versions. I added it as curiosity and if somebody wish to play the game with this different audio track

Nope. WinMM.dll solution is for Windows Applications; Glidos works with original MS-DOS version and it uses *.MP3 Audio.

Hello,

I have something to add to the instructions in this tutorial. All what I say is releated to Windows 10 x64, for other OS may be different, or even the problem itself doesn't exist. Also I'm sorry if it has already discussed, but in this thread I haven't found anything about that.

So... It's a perfect way, but not ideal, unfortunately, as the aspect ratio will be corrupted (Lara will be fat a bit on modern widescreens).

This can be fixed if use Peixoto Patch and Mod tool, but sadly it requires special patched TR2 executable - Tomb Raider Series XP/Vista Multi Patch from TombRaiderChronicles website. Therefore, in case of using Peixoto tool + Tomb Raider Series XP/Vista Multi Patch we get almost ideal variant with full screen, proper aspect ratio, etc.

Why almost? Because there're 2 issues in this way (not critical):

1. Patched TR executable for Golden Mask from Tomb Raider Series XP/Vista Multi Patch refuses to work without original Tomb Raider 2 CD (exactly TR2, but not TR2Gold). For those who purchased GOG or Steam version can harm a little headache, but resolvable by emulating it through Daemon Tools.

2. For some reason FMVs are not playing anymore. But taking into account that there's only 1 FMV in Golden Mask - Eidos logo. I think it's not the issue at all.

P.S.: For original Tomb Raider 2 method I described to get proper aspect ratio is completely ideal! Everything works - music, FMVs, full screen, proper aspect ratio, etc. - everything! Moreover it allows to use some re-designed textures from iOS version, improved sounds, HD FMVs and other mods.

P.P.S.: I hope this small addition may be useful for somebody.

If you needed Garrett's Fullscreen Border Removal patch, you notice he didn't include Tomb Raider II Gold: Golden Mask. This means that Golden Mask's window borders will appear in fullscreen mode. I attempted to rectify this by providing an unofficial update, but Windows 10 users told me that this makes the music stop functioning.

I'm going to show you how to use Windowed Borderless Gaming to remove the border and keep the music!
__________________________________________________

1. After installing TRII Gold, download Westech Solutions' Windowed Borderless Gaming. http://westechsolutions.net/sites/Wi...essGaming/home

2. This program does not require installation, so put it somewhere you like best.

3. Load Golden Mask's Setup.EXE and configure it. The important part is to tick the button that will load it in windowed mode. However, configure your preferences for fullscreen mode at this point as well.

4. Load TRII Gold. It should start in windowed mode.

5. Double click your Windowed Borderless Gaming executable. You'll be told to open it from the taskbar to configure it. Right click on Windowed Borderless Gaming and select "Add Window ( F3 )".

6. Switch back to TRII Gold and press F3. This will have captured it in Windowed Borderless Gaming.

7. Now normally, you'd need to further configure your game in Windowed Borderless Gaming to get what you want. However, with TRII Gold, you can just press F12 to go into fullscreen.

8. The window border should be gone! You'll see Lara's health bar, hear the music, and be in fullscreen all at once. You will need to load Windowed Borderless Gaming every time you want to play Golden Mask in fullscreen, however.

Hope this helps.
