The best of a conversation I once heard

"1000 kcal (kilo calorie) are 1 calorie"

"But Joule is the unit for energy, kcal (kilo calorie) is the unit of calorie, dummy."

(they are both energy units, and 1 calorie = 4,18 Joules)

Truth be told, Halo 5 is bad, but every Halo game before it is not so.

And if you say the original Halo Combat Evolved is bad, then you are a sinner who has turned away from the Gods of Gaming. There is so much evil in your soul that you cannot be cleansed. You are destined for Gamer Hell.

Unlike you, because I think Halo is the goat of all goats, there are infinite gamer girls waiting for me in Gamer Heaven.
I am not into first person shooter games, I've never paid with my money for a Call of Duty game or a Halo game or any other derivative. However, my brother gave me Halo Master Chief Collection with 4 Halo games in HD as a gift sometime ago and the only Halo Game I enjoyed from the Master Chief Collection was Halo 1. Through and through from start to finish it was a masterpiece. Halo 2 was bad and 3's graphics don't hold up well today at all. Halo 4 was ok, never tried Halo 5.

Yes that is indeed a very dumb thing to say, the epitome of maniacally lame.

Boris Johnson said while giving a speech on Sky News I admit I'm a bit of a bus nut.

Jeremy Clarkson calling Greta Thunberg a spoilt brat, he is in no position to call anyone else a brat when he acted like a brat himself when he punched someone who gave him food that he said was cold.

Maybe it doesn't count, since this was said in a Pokémon GO group.

Me: “I’m a diehard Tomb Raider fan...”
Someone: “You mean the Angelina Jolie movies? I thought that franchise was dead since 2003?”

>.<

Come on people! The movies were an adaptation of the games...

That’s like saying Green Street Hooligans movies were dead since 2005.

In my opinion: I like all Green Street movies with or without Elijah Wood.

Back on topic: The only thing that’s dead is the haters’ brains.

I saw it just now on Teletext that a bishop has said no to Yoga at schools.

The bishop has written to schools to warn them against the use of Yoga during class time and said it is not of Christian origin, a spokesperson for the bishop confirmed that primary schools under the patronage of the Catholic church had received the letter which also asked teachers to pray the rosary with their pupils.

Last year the bishop said that he is establishing a delivery ministry of exorcists to deal with evil spirits and also warned people against the use of Reiki and new age healing because they could be channeling the wrong spirit.

The bishop claims that he was asked by several people to say a word on Yoga and mindfulness, he quoted a homily delivered in 2015 in which the pope told listeners that practices like Yoga are not capable of opening people's hearts to god.

You can take a million courses in spirituality, a million courses in Yoga, Zen and all these things, but all of this will never be able to give you freedom,he quoted the pope as saying.

The Catholic church has clearly got nothing better to do than dictate to people about what the church thinks people shouldn't be doing, like anyone is going to listen to the church anyway, the Catholic church here in Ireland doesn't have the same power that it used to have and no-one is going to listen to the Catholic church anyway especially as most people now view the Catholic church with mistrust after all the scandals over the last twenty years, most people see the Catholic church as irrelevant these days anyway because of the aforementioned scandals of which there are too many to list here.

The Catholic church can't really dictate that teachers pray with their pupils, it has to be by choice and not every pupil is going to want to pray.

The Catholic church has clearly not lost its need to dictate, if they are not dictating that teachers pray with their pupils then it's demanding that the Harry Potter books be banned from a schools library which happened recently in Tennessee.
