Runners-up:
  • Tibetan Foothills

^Offshore Rig is a masterpiece. Of course it can't compete with some of the better TR2 levels, but it is still an amazing level.

Trenton , You certainly have a thing for calling every single level a 'masterpiece' don't you ? for a level to be a masterpiece it HAS to compete with the true masterpieces of the game .

The rig section totally fails in that competition and is completely useless and one of my least favorite sections out of the whole franchise , We could've jumped from the opera house to Lara maybe killing the pilot and his assistant and flying straight to Tibet (she could've found the monk in the plane , maybe he was getting captured there) , or at least they could've replaced that section with a better more interesting and less annoying setting

The Rig levels are kinda dispensable imo. Maybe a cutscene of Lara recovering her weapons and temporal jump to the Maria Doria?

I'm not talking about the rig section in general, I'm talking about the masterpiece Offshore Rig here.
I'll be the first one to admit TR2 should only have had one rig level.
As far as TR2 goes almost every single level is a masterpiece so even some levels that are not quite up there with the very best TR2 levels are still considered masterpieces imo. The very best TR2 levels are so good there are no words to describe them. The word masterpiece would be too mild for such incredible levels!

I absolutely love Offshore Rig; I mean, it obviously isn't the greatest level in the game but I enjoy it every time I play it and never get bored.

I actually prefer Offshore Rig to the Opera House; I find the latter a ballache.

I can't believe people are picking The Great Wall... I don't even count it as a proper level really.

The location is unique and it's a perfect level for what it is : an opening level . it also had a lot of cool and memorable moments , the trappy corridors and the big chasm with the T-rexs !
