Whoa... even if you hate maya, I think it would be nice if you record some other animations too! Interesting enough, the majority of them isn't unknown for me, so I'll concentrate on something else:

-those mines are still in the game and would make more sense, than those huge pack of c4s. I do wonder however, if there was any line planned for him for the phonecall, or is it just a gimmick, also his injured state with one pistol is quiet something too.(that's something, that doesn't exist in the final)
-interesting, that there were supposed to be living creatures in the Biodome (makes sense)
-I knew, that there were placements of sorts on the inmates, but only during experiments, nothing that would be permanent. Seems like I was wrong and sad... thos gadgets would push the creepy factor even further; shame they didn't kept it.
-Janice uncovering her chest is new (never saw this animation from this angle), but what's more interesting is the car she's leaning on!

Finally, the random man sweeping and Gunderson are some quiet new discoveries, thank you! This game is really something else to this franchise.

The car janice was supposed to interact with was actually cut quite late in development. There are triggers all around the ghetto levels in the retail game to show/hide the car and to make it play different animations but obviously it no longer exists so they are useless.

Oh, cool! I was just wondering how the car was supposed to work in that level. Where the car was supposed to appear and disappear? If I recall correctly, Janice originally was meant to be near the hotel/truck so somewhere around that I suppose?

I wish they kept those too. There's some other unused animations for the patients like banging a head against the wall, jumping on Kurtis etc, I'll make a video showing those later. Seems they had lots of great, creepy ideas for the Kurtis levels, and barely any of it made it in the final game. Would have loved to see those levels finished!

Yeah Janice used to be in front of the hotel next to the truck so the car was there too.

I had no idea that old version of the Sanitarium existed in the archive, that's really cool! Could you tell me the file name? Really curious to check that out myself too.

tempstrahov.mb , found it in Raw\LARA\Classic\working\upto041201 folder.

I did actually find the exact folder with all the textures for this area, was going to try putting it ingame or just see it properly in maya at least but I have no idea why it looks so weird. It's pitch black on maya and looks... interesting when I try putting it ingame too.



You can kinda see it with proper textures here but no idea why it's like this.
