Well to quote Richard from my Q&A we know the first level was gonna be the police station.

6. Was there a police station originally in the Parisian Back Streets levels?
A. Yes there was, it was originally the start of the game, with Lara captured.

I wish we could have an image of that holding cell.

1:48, just before the sneaks up on the police man at the Serpent Rouge, we see Lara walking from outside some windows. What location is that?

Looks like Serpent Rouge just with some windows added,

also forgot to add this in

Paris for sure, it was the hardest to pin down being a realistic city location, tombs are easy in comparison... We chopped and changed the whole first section, with Lara starting the game inside a cell in the police station, then inside a shop, then the back alley,

I remember reading that. A shop...whatever or wherever it was, it's gone now
I think we need to let go of the original beginning and start from the one we have now and go from there. I thought that everything would fit into one but it seems Core didn't make it to be that way. Maybe Industrial Rooftops was added because they thought 1 level wasn't enough of a travel between Von Croy's place and Carvier's. They must have changed the cutscenes to fit these changes too.

See we can say Parisian Ghetto was at night. There are textures that support that idea, a prostitute, alright. But then we know there were supposed to be people on the street with lots of conversations, well pointless ones but conversations nonetheless and I don't think you'd find such amount of people at night. Then there's the paper seller, you wouldn't find him selling the London Times at night. Then we have Café metro wiyh outside night textures. I mean it's pretty confusing and obviously these things belong to different builds and we can't be sure what goes where unless someone from Core Design tells us.

Yes but Core must have been given console a year before so they could test their builds. Possibly AoD was meant to be multi-platform because I doubt that they would still have a Dreamcast box if it was discontinued. So this means this video was before March 2001 or they kept going till 2002 because Dreamcast was discontinued in Europe in the end of 2002.

What if it was just laying there? You don't see them using them, they are only using the Gamecube. Btw I don't think that was 2001, that looked like 2002 build to me. The lightning of the game was still quite dark. I don't think they had shown anything in 2001 cuz they said the team was very late and by the time they finished Chronicles they had to start everything from scratch.

Wonder whatever happened to the Xbox version, there was a rumor back in the day that it was supposed to be coming to the original xbox also.

It could be laying there but only the people at Core would know I sort of agree but it could be like early 2002 or very late 2001.

According to the Tomb Raider Chronicles site it says that they saw a Xbox dev kit in the Eidos offices but nothing else other than that. Possibly too late? We don't know when they chose to make it exclusive to Sony or Eidos just thought there wasn't enough time and told them not to port it to other systems.

I think the Xbox version was cancelled since the whole game was a 'flop'.. Same for the Gamecube.

Could you also please ask if there was any lawyer in the game or just a lawyer office that was playable?

Also found some super rare screens. Some of you may have seen them, but I really like to share them anyway.. You never know if they may come in handy.

Note that Rennes' Pawnshop has a really weird placed window in the shop.

Also, in the flashback cutscene (when you go back to Von Croy's apartment) you can see Karel, but just for a short time. :

I don't think it was the game was a flop maybe it was because they had no time to port it over to Gamecube and Xbox so they were going to wait it out. I mean we know they tried porting to the Gamecube as evidenced by this screenshot
