Unfortunately, after only a week of daily use it's already gathering a healthy collection of little scratches in the bottom left hand corner, as you can see in the photo.
Source.

Seems like a really really weird oversight. It reminds me of the first generation of the 3DS.

So I guess you have to invest in a screen protector along all the rest.

I'll wait for more reports before I'll take it as an actual problem, but if true really a shame. But I've already fixed my screen protector, so I'm all set!

Diverse forums online confirm the concerns of the article. They studied the dock and its shape and structure are bound to scratch the screen at some point. Just like the "switch" mechanism on the joycon. It's going to get used and loose eventually.

I'm so confused as of how these testers missed something this big.

Well I would've agreed, but just look at the amount space between the dock and the front that has a small rubber pad. That coupled with a scratch that seems like it's almost at a 45° angle. I honestly feel that there's more than the dock somehow scratching the system. My phone has undergone more abuse than the Switch ever will with docking and is pretty much scratch free.

I'm still waiting for iFixit for a teardown

EDIT: WTF

http://www.theverge.com/2017/3/3/148...lems-aquariums

I mean obviously PS360 PS4 XBONEs controllers are wireless and don't cause interference to the console ( and I have used them all plenty of times) if there are other wireless devices around them (like in the article) yet The Switch's controllers do cause interference despite the Switch having a better BT Version than the other consoles (and I assume the controllers have Bluetooth 4.1 too)

Seriously Nintendo,

EDIT 2: wireless headphones aren't compatiable with the Switch

http://www.polygon.com/nintendo-swit...ones-bluetooth

They could do this with a future software update but otherwise..

EDIT 3.. another problem. It's USB 3 port until a future update is just ( a USB 2 Port) for now

http://www.tweaktown.com/news/56527/...ype/index.html

Also the Switchs controller in the article .. USB Type C's charge is based on USB 2

smh
