I just watched the first video. Super fun! I checked out your submission on TASVideos too. Really impressive breakdown of movement and glitches. I also didn't know version 1 of the NTSC version had so many differences from later versions!

Lara is mad disrespectful.

EDIT: That glitch you used to skip KV5 is crazy! How did you figure that out/how does the end of the level trigger??

EDIT2: Finished watching. That was seriously awesome! The swan dive/flare throw trick in Underneath the Sphinx was so cool. I'm mesmerized by the flare/puzzle hole trick! All this time I never knew such a glitch existed.

I think the idea is that if Lara is embedded into a wall, then the game will prioritise other objects to hit triggers or something like that. Basically the jeep takes priority over Lara and when it reaches the end of the level, the game registers as if Lara had reached the end herself.

Yea, it's a trigger bug, but with the Jeep instead of the camera.

Mind you the spinning has nothing to do with it.

Ahhh, I understand now! The spinning was just some sick dance moves, then.

No, not at all.

it's playing the game in a TAS emulator using frame advance, slowdowns and savestates. All while recording the exact input made in an input file, called a "movie"

When replaying back the movie in the emulator, it forces the exact same inputs I pressed during the playing (which took 2+ months btw) thus playing back the exact same playback everytime.

In other words, play the game once and it'll always be played back the same way.
