I'm seriously considering boycotting the new trilogy if it doesn't conform to previously established canon such as Thrawn, or the Yuuzhang Vong. But considering the Prequel Trilogy messed up the canon of novels made before the prequels I don't see much that can ensure that happening now either...

I think they will, they may not even go as far to mention anything from the EU (beyond a cameo, or saying "Gee, that Grand Master Skywalker is a great guy!"). You can't have the original actors in there without some indication of where they have been/what they have been doing the past 50 years for all the people that don't read the books. And to top it all off, the books/comics are all GL approved, so it would be kind of unavoidable me thinks.

Bit random but.... Does anyone here like the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight Games

I've never played the 1993 version of Dark Forces

But DF 2 and MOTS were so good back in my day. I still like them to this day.

I didn't like Jedi Outcast. Some of it felt Star Wars some of it didn't

Jedi Academy was a much better version of Outcast with better features despite having Quake 3 styled Engine

Damn I wish another Jedi knight game be released.
