If the Force Awakens is anything to go by the film will play it safe and lean too heavily on nostalgia. Fan service is great, but if that's all the movie has to offer...

Wow.... 3am and I just got home from midnight screening.

Loved it.

That's all I will say.

I really wanted to go to the midnight screening, but my friend is working the next day and we always see the films together. Will have to settle for tomorrow evening.

Seeing this tomorrow night and trying to keep all expectations moderate and think nothing of the reviews. As a Star Wars fan that extremely dislikes the prequel trilogy but loves the original trilogy and has enjoyed this current one, I'm not sure how I can dislike what I'll see.

It's insane that the critics loved The Last Jedi. It was an objectively bad movie with so many plot holes and ridicules things going on that just can't be ignored. It leads me to believe that the critics who gave it an overwhelmingly positive score is bought and paid for.

I already have my seats booked for tomorrow. One of the best things about our Community is that a Movie Theater is about a stone throw away from where I live

. So its going to be an evening date for tomorrow with my better half.

I choose to reserve my views until I have watched the movie. So no amount of online ratings are going to change my mind on the matter.
