Just watched again Day of the Moon, and after blazing all of the Silence enemies in stylish way, a conversation between River and Rory in the scene I linked above.
A reference to Lara Croft or am I a blinded fanboy to think that ?

I suspect he rewrote/remove every Christmas references in his script.

I thought it was a Lara reference first time I saw it. You're not a blinded fanboy. Or maybe we both are .

And yeah, there probably were re-writes.

Steven Moffat may return to write one or two episodes for RTD. It's a rumour but it's not the first time I heard this.

Happy to have some more Moffat one offs. He did some of the best RTD1 episodes.

Moffat was consistently good under RTD, so it would be pretty cool to have him do another episode or two. Moffat works better with restriction.

I also enjoyed what he did as a showrunner even if it was quite convoluted, confused and rushed sometimes. He was very ambitious for the better and the worse.

I agree he shine when he has time, very prepared and had a big idea for one or two episodes a year. So I'm also happy ! (if true)

When Moffat was focused on being a good show runner he was very good.

But in the middle he split his focus and it really affected the quality.

Yeah, for instance he said series 7 was hell to write and produce. When you decide to make a series full of standalone, prepared one of, if not the most challenging episode of his career (Day of the Doctor) and a series of Sherlock at the same time... Also you have to write the exit of your Doctor and casting a new one, the very same year... Really no wonder the quality wasn't as good as your other series.
And at the time I was disappointing the series was split in two, compared to today we were spoiled haha. Now thinking about it it was necessary for this special time.

EDIT :
If you don't want any details on the next Christmas special, don't read this article but the Spin-off UNIT series starring Jemma Redgrave seems close to be real. From Deadline and Daily Mirror.

If you haven't seen, DW has got another upcoming multi-media story called Doom's Day, which follows the universe's greatest assassin, Doom. The story will be told through the DW digital channels, comics through DW Magazine and Titan comics, books from Penguin Random House, video games from East Side Games (never heard of them) and audio stories from Big Finish Productions and BBC Audio.

Can't say I'm excited. Maybe this will be more interesting once deep into it with more info about it
Right now I find the performance of the actress a bit lacklustre in the teaser... but the format and script of this kind of video didn't help I guess.
