I just don't want the deal to go through because I don't want Crash and Spyro exclusive to Xbox. There are a few other IPs that I don't want exclusive either that have been associated with Sony.

Microsoft claims they won't do this, but then you see what happened with Bethesda and ninja theory.

Too inconvenient, I don't have a desk where I live now so a PC would be out of the question unless it's a laptop which are expensive.

Well one of MS's arguments is xCloud, which they keep saying will be available on multiple devices that aren't Microsoft devices and that means anything they have that falls under an Xbox console exclusive isn't actually limited to play only on Xbox consoles because you can access it via cloud gaming. You still need to buy a gamepass subscription and have a decent enough internet connection and device to actually make cloud gaming a viable option but hey, it's another option to play all these games so you don't need to own an Xbox console! You can even play them using a PS controller if you want, isn't that neat? If only cloud gaming wasn't a pile of pixelated laggy garbage.

I would bet money that if the situation was reversed that Sony would completely restrict COD to PlayStation consoles. Microsoft is definitely more consumer-friendly than Sony by a large margin.

They won't have a choice if they agree to the buyout - it'll be what MS says goes as it will be them who absorbs the costs initially. If AV don't want that then they'll have to find a more third party who has no vested interest in pushing a platform like that. I'm surprised they didn't go to EA in the first instance tbh their ethos and culture seem very similar.
