Would be interesting to know what was causing the random fire effects on screen.
Thank you

The bug has been fixed in FLEP for TRLE by ChocolateFan for a while, she's the one who figured the issue out, but basically, screen coordinates when drawing things were stored in 16 bit variables, which made them easy to overflow when a lot of fires are triggered or some fires are very far away, which caused them to appear randomly on the screen.

don't mix and match exes or you will run into bugs. And I cannot help you then.
That message is harmless, I always have FMVs disabled so I forgot to remove it from the times exe, will fix that. Thanks!
I thought i have to use the same exe for the main game and his extension, thank you for the explanation.

Even outside of this project in specific, never mix exes from any TR games, especially custom levels with their own tomb4

Nice fix!
From my side I still have an issue with TRTLR and french accented characters that are not correctly displayed.
Perhaps it is not yet supported?

That's not always true, Tomb1main, TR2main, Tomb3, all this open source projects use the same exe for the main game and their gold extension.

Yeah, I was referring to the originals ;p it's not uncommon to see for example a YouTuber play TR3gold and curse out core design for making an unfinished game by not being able to kill Sophia.

It's because they used tomb3.exe not t3gold.exe
