I’ve read a lot of Angela Davis’ books, she’s got a lot of material and historical context on the matter.
Thanks Bashar! Curious, what book of Angela Davis' would you say is the best catch-all regarding the EC, even if it's not the sole subject?

I shall get back to you on that! She’s got so many books I’ve read throughout the years, she mentions the EC in passing a lot as a civil rights activist though her work primarily focuses on prison abolition and specifically applied Marxist theory.

Trump won the election. He got more votes than Kamala, but a little over 3 million people voted for other candidates.

Kamala's votes + votes for other candidates mean a majority of citizens did NOT want Trump to be president.

And I despise those people more than I even despise Trump voters. They are the most quisling, useless people on the planet. It was obvious to any thinking person what the stakes were. Dick effing Cheney came out and endorsed Kamala. But these brain trusts decided to make a statement rather than do the right thing to save the country from insanity. They're the sort of pompous idiot who either couldn't vote for the woman or couldn't admit to themselves they were Nazi-curious, so they wrote in someone with no chance of winning and enabled what we know happens: 3rd party votes always help Republicans.

Now planes are crashing and "Big Balls" and his neo-Nazi boy band are stealing their personal data and crippling government functions. Hope their Nazi curiosity is satisfied. Hope they enjoyed their last chance to elect a president.

Trump voters at least wanted this chaos. They think this is fabulous. They're a bunch of sociopaths who derive joy from someone else's pain. At least they signed for this ****.

Yeah, the writing is on the wall at this point, and it really has been since he won the election. There isn't going to be a democratic choice in 2028; either the Trump administration goes or this country is fully propelled into authoritarianism. It's been only two weeks and we've already witnessed the most serious data breach in U.S. history at the hands of Trump and Musk.

Yep. America has quite a few institutions like this. This country loves to ignore its 80 years of slavery, and then question why we still need to have DEI. I hate it here.

I've already had those non-voters in my life crawl out of the woodwork and say "iF oNlY wE cOuLd hAvE kNoWn" LOL that's another way of saying that you're either horribly misinformed or you're a self-serving idiot who I don't want in my life, thanks!

My boyfriend and I talked about moving to Scandinavia last weekend. I never thought we'd seriously be having these discussions... but here we are.

Trump supporters love the chaos. They’re now wanting to invade Canada of all places and are celebrating federal funding getting frozen even though it almost resulted in millions losing their jobs. They love seeing people suffer and seeing everything collapse.

Antarctica always has room for more people...

I hate my country; England. I hate the whole of the UK. The idea of living somewhere like Norway, Denmark or The Netherlands is a lot more appealing. I'm not sure how plausible that would be though.

not plausible at all if you are an unskilled worker due to Brexit related immigration shifts.

Does that mean that I'm stuck in the UK? If the UK is the limit of my options, then I suppose Wales would be the place that I'd choose; proving that would be plausible.
