It's very cool to see you're still discovering sharper textures for the many signs and objects throughout the game. The old gen red target looks drunk when you put it next to the next gen one XD

I've just noticed you've made a new Mission Prep screen. It looks faithfully re-created with the white vertical stripes and black brushed edges. Nice job!

Japan is the best level imo so it's great to see it get attention. Keep up the good work, Ameliorator!

P.S. I love the dragon stockings.

Oh that red target was an absolute drunk mess lmao. It really is surprising how many higher res textures I’m still finding throughout these levels. I’ve just started going through Ghana and found some more already haha

And yeah I’m really happy about my new mission prep screen. I had no idea just how stretched the vanilla version was until when I was recreating it and trying to match up the same positioning with the camera…nothing matched up lol. I don’t know why they used a stretched texture in the final release but I’m glad it could be fixed!

I also love the Japan level. I love that “modern meets traditional” aesthetic it has and it’s always cool to see Lara in a more urban setting

Default OldGen+ Version 3.0

Hi everybody,

The next update for OldGen+ is here. I've found 48 new fixes for the textures throughout the Ghana level. Some of these fixes are quite subtle whilst others are noticeable upgrades.

Great work! I love going through your comparison screenshots, it's like texture archaeology. The rope texture on the wooden bridge is an excellent fix.

The pendant is interesting because the engraving doesn't match the dialogue during the Ghana cutscene. Regardless, the pendant does look better when the texture is sharper.

“Texture Archaeology”, I love that haha

And yeah the pendant texture was a difficult one. Like you pointed it out, it doesn’t match what’s told in the cutscene. I thought about changing it to make narrative sense like I did with the PDA but I decided to stay faithful to the original. Do you think I should edit it to match?

Thanks for sharing your opinion, I’m going to change it and see if I can get the handwriting as close as possible. Idk if whoever made that texture wasn’t aware what would be said in the cutscene or if they decided to change the story and didn’t tell them. It’s weird either way
