Sharper details on the PDA is a nice touch

Hi everyone, this is just a small post to share some interesting things I've found looking through some of the game's files.
I'm sure most of you will know that Legend was to feature a rocket launcher as a weapon and it made it quite far into development before ultimately being scrapped. In case anyone might be interested I thought I would just share what the textures for the weapon look like and also what the PDA entry for the weapon would have been: ![]() ![]() ![]() Another interesting thing I found was what appears to be an unused scorpion texture in the level files for Peru. I can't find any beta footage or a single mention of a scorpion intended for the game so it's strange that it's there. It could have been an enemy or just decorative fodder like the birds but it's an interesting find either way: ![]() |

![]() The latest update for OldGen+ is here. Kazakhstan is now completed with 58 new texture upgrades and fixes. This includes the usual higher res textures but also fixes for stretched and incorrectly flipped textures, a lighting fix, changing English text into Russian or Kazakh and changing the infirmary medical posters to be more fitting for the military setting. Here are some comparison pics:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The light here is coming from a lamp directly above so I changed the shading on the keypad texture to create accurate lighting. I also changed The "OK" key to "K" as the soldiers you speak to earlier tell you the code for the gate is K1879 but there wasn't a K on the keypad ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I changed the image used for the train route map because I discovered it was a photo of the Caucus mountain range, not anywhere actually in Kazakhstan. It now uses a satellite photo of the Tian Shan range. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The bike section in this level has been infamous for it's flickering, glitched textures. ATombRaiderFan previously found a fix for this but decided against using it as deleting the problematic texture causes some of the trees in that area to turn partially invisible. hey i'm sorry to ask a stupid question but last time i asked, OldGen+ was just texture fixes and Legend Upgraded was HD textures. did i misunderstand and it's the opposite? do i need to use Legend Upgraded in conjunction with OldGen+ anymore?
