Lara Croft needs to be more stylish, fun and charismatic in the next game
It is depressing to see the distinct lack of charisma in not only, Lara Croft and her attitude, but overall, in the style and the manner she expresses herself in the reboot games. I understand that we live in an era now, where certain choices were made to appeal to the wider audience, but in the case of the reboot games, the dilution of both style and charisma in Lara's persona, appearance and costumes is a startlingly reflection, that even a hint of femininity and experimentation of clothing options is limited by creative choices. The problem is, when will Lara ever have a moment, where she can like the above pictures, be sarcastic, have the sexy confidence, enjoy herself with a bit of thrill and style and have the wit to replace the uneven, dull, gritty, and unrelenting sullen tone that currently plagues the reboot games. Seriously, I hope that whoever develops the next game, take their time to give sequel Lara, the things that she needs the most, including dual pistols. Last edited by Alterjano; 25-09-19 at 19:05. |

I really like the attire from the second pic. Even the model looks like a real life Reboot Lara (imo)... ^.^
I would like if we got reimagined outfits from Legend. That would also be a good starting point for the designers. The Classic outfit, the Motorcycle Jacket, the Winter outfit.... they all rock! |

Have Lara be more charismatic, sure, go for it: the reboot comics have proven more than enough that reboot Lara can be funny, witty, and actually show that enjoys going on adventure, without never feeling out of character (which again, proves reboot Lara was never the problem, the problem is having the game's narrative be so monotone even Tony Stark would have problems showing his true personality).
But the outfits? Call it an unpopular opinion, but outside the boring colours the outfits (especially the TR2013 outfit and the Syria outfit) are quite feminine looking, make Lara look hella fine and hell, aren't that far way of something classic Lara would wear. I mean, just look at pictures of reboot Lara's butt. Or that pic of Rhona Mitra wearing the reboot outfit. Edit: I am talking about the "canon" outfits, the ones Lara wear automatically if you don't chose a different one at a basecamp. Last edited by Portugalraider; 25-09-19 at 22:18. |

Yesss!!
I pretty much agree with this post. Her canonical outfits are pretty feminie and (to me at least) beautiful. I like all of her canon outfits so far, and in no way I feel she lacks in 'style' or whatever. I like how she has two types of dressing up: Casual, like the London outfit with the jacket and jeans, that I LOVE And her tactical/adventurer ones for when she goes on expeditions I don't mind her wearing the cultural outfits depending on the places she visits, plus the canonical ones look pretty nice to me. Also Laura looks so sexy dressed up with 14 pounds of animal skins, it’s so realistic because she hunts a deer that one time! <3 Last edited by Daft Raider; 26-09-19 at 14:10. |
