Technically she’s only been to Egypt twice in the series. TR1/TRA, and TR4. Other than that I’m pretty sure we’ve never had Egypt, which is surprising because I relate Lara with Egypt so much.

Maybe it's because we've had an entire game set in Egypt, two of you count Osiris. I've heard people saying that there's a map at the end of Shadow teasing Egypt. I honestly wouldn't be opposed to Egypt as long as it's not JUST Egypt. Bring back globetrotting please! |

Given we got ice in Rise and jungle in Shadow, I think a desert like location is almost guaranteed for the next game. |

To put things into perspective, this is a list of all the countries Lara has visited in the main games. The real issue is not that she keeps going similar regions but that she keeps going to the exact.same.places. She's only been to ONE central American country and TWO South American ones yet it feels overdone because it's always the same place. In the Reboot timeline the only brand new location she visited was Syria, all other countries she'd already visited in precious games. South America is still surprisingly untapped. Africa too and, obviously, Oceania. |

I am someone who could never get tired of Egypt, but I am dying for her to explore a real massive ancient castle.

It feels like Core foresaw the future and deleted Peru from TRIII.
______________ As for the OP, we should leave South America alone for awhile. While it had potential (Rio de Janeiro shantytowns at night! ) it’s done to death. We could return to European locations (Greece, Ireland, Paris, Rome). |

isn't it all rather relative and unfairly described?
describing south america, a continent, as a single location is rather weird. while i think i understand what you mean, one can hardly compare peru in TR1/TRA to peru in SotTR. one is a montain peak snowy terrain, while the other is a deep wet warm jungle. in TRL its dry arid, and in every adventure she visited a different civilization. tihuanacu "is" pre incan, vilcabamba incan, and the paititians, while incan, were dweling in mayan ruins. so i guess the problem would be the mayans since they are featured in a couple of games too. TRU, SotTR, LC:GoL... I guess the solution is more variaty, which i Think its the best solution. but if its list you want and to put things in perspective... medieval lore and ruins have been done poorly in a couple of games so far (scotland, the black isles, catacombs of paris, london, kitezh, norway...) (TR:TLA, TRL, TR:AoD, TRC, TRU, RotTR) dessert and arid destinations (egypt 4 times, syria, nevada desert...) (TR1/TRA/gold, TR3, TR4, TR4:TT, TR:ToO, RotTR, TRL) mountain tops, snowy caps (peru, syberia, kazakhstan, tibet, nepal) (TR1/TRA, RotTR, TRL, TR2, TR3, TRC, TRU) jungles (india, thailand, peru, mexico, south pacific) (TR3, SotTR, TRU, TR:tGoL) urban (rome, london, venice, tokyo, off shore rig, kazakhstan, la paz, paris, prague) (TR2, TR3, TRC, TR:aoD, TRL) classic greek/roman (greece, italy, syria) (TR1/TRA, RotTR, TRC) indian subcontinent and adjacents (india, cambodia, tibet, nepal, thailand) (TR2:tGM, TRL, TR3, TRU, TR4) far east asia (china/japan/south pacific) (TR2, TRL, TReboot, TR3) i wouldn't mind a propper medieval castle, fortresses, crusades, marshes, persian, babylonian related adventure.
