Oh my God, this crazy. You guys are not the only ones who find Jedi new order to be a Tomb Raider like game.

The media is actually picking up on it too. Hopefully CD listens to us and them.

let’s be real: the climbing, the treasure plundering, the vast stretches of quiet exploration… that all started with Tomb Raider.

Trouble is, you’d barely know it because the recent Tomb Raider reboot games, Shadow in particular, have gone so far into the Looty Shooty Fresh ‘N Fruity genre that tomb raiding feels like a side dish, a garnish at best.
Oof......

Exactly like I been sayin

Edit

So I've been watching some reviews and the game is definitely a must by for me. I'm very surprised by EA, the game.is very reminecent of Dark Souls and Tomb Raider.

Also the game is selling well currently number 2 in UK region.

Edit

Also general reception has been pretty good, people really liking the format and difficulty of the game. I really want someone to tell me how a classic TR formula could never work. Lmao

Edit

Just added it to my wishlist and look at this. Ah I love it

187 hours of Shadow! Wow, Charmed!

Although to be fair I have like 160 on the reboot.

It's well worth it. The tomb and puzzle focus has fallen off in the 2nd half but the exploration and dark souls level design is still there. The two major tombs were far more impressive than anything CD has ever put out at least in terms of atmosphere, art direction, and exploration. Puzzles are decent too. Exploration usually leads to cosmetic stuff but sometimrs minibosses, health upgrades, force upgrades, or number of uses of healing so still worth it.

Yeah but different from the reboot automatic.
Reboot, Lara's arch changes to grab the ledge, it very, very much does not change in AOD, I have a few experiences of constantly being JUST unable to grab that ledge in Bouchard's hideout that you need to push a crate under.
In AOD all that's automatic is not pressing action.

Yes you don't press action but the thing everyone complains about (Lara magnetizing to ledges) is not present.

Playing SWJFA and the traversal is very much like modern TR. I'm not sure it really improves much on TR though. Uses the same type of mechanics and so forth.

You have way more hours than me in Shadow.

Embarrassingly enough I have over 500 hours in Angel of Darkness lol

There's a large optional tomb/dungeon area with more puzzles. The area reminded me of shipwreck beach except you actually get to explore the wreckage. Really good area that is easily kissable as you can't access it until near the endgame.
