Does anyone know if it is possible to achieve this kind of setup?

something akin to a half geometry / half floor collision

It's possible but it's a long time since I attempted such a thing. By default the depth of a bridge object is just one click.

There are OCB codes for bridge objects to increase the depth of the bridge object to create a solid space underneath.

You also need to pair this with a fractional trigger - you can set which half of the tile has the collision for the bridge object.

You might get better help in the TRNG section as I don't remember the exact details.

The problem is that Level Editor and Last Revelation use different sound systems. If I try to load the level I've edited with Level Editor in Tomb Raider 4, the sounds won't work at all.

I need to find a way to convert these AoD sounds you heard on the video, (and that are playing on Level Editor), to Last Revelation's engine.

I've tried with FexMerger, but it crashes.
Ohh I see now! I've never tried modding TR4 (or modding sounds in any game at all), so I have no idea. However, TRosettaStone does state that the format of the sample files is ADPCM. You can convert sounds to ADPCM with Audacity.
In case it matters, make sure before exporting that the sound is using 22050Hz 16-bit mono, then export to ADPCM.
If this works, then you can batch convert all the sounds by dropping them all into Audacity, and then using the batch export option.

It seems TR4.exe handles merged rooms that exceed the 18 squares length... i merged two rooms into one and got a 4 x 21...And it works without problems

Is there a limit ?

Yes, rooms over 30x30 size (or 32x32 if you count border wall blocks) will cause drawing glitches. But you can safely use rooms up to 30x30 size.

Thanks. And i have a little pb, i deleted portals between two rooms but one wall section in each room stays yellow as if there still were a portal, and thus i get an error when trying to make a portal...

Many rooms whose portals I have deleted stay conneted; they move together, the walls where the portals were are yellow, i I cant recreate portals...
In the small 2D grid on the left, no portal is visible but in the big 2D window, you can see an cut in the line as if there is actually a connection

It's a 15 years old prj i made under vanilla trle

Question Newbie needs help!

I've been able to install the TRLE, and ran the update patch from TRChronicles. But, when I click the icon to open it, all I get is a black screen for a few seconds, then it closes itself down. What am I doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey gammarauder.13, welcome to the forums!

Well, Tomb Raider Level Editor is pretty old, and it is somewhat incompatible to newer systems

I'd suggest you to use Tomb Editor, which is a more robust and heavily supported tool for creating custom levels.

Also feel free to ask any questions about it!
