Default Problems

Hello, I'm trying to use TRLE, and when I hold down Shift to slow it down, it doesn't work.

Also, I've been trying to get TRNG setup, but it has two or three different setups within, and it's confusing.

I got it from this website: https://treditor.hu/english/index.html

And I don't know where I'm supposed to get the Visual Basic 5 and 6 runtimes from, as it asks from this webpage: https://treditor.hu/english/index.html

I haven't posted on here in 12 years, and thought I'd try and get back into making my own Tomb Raider levels. If anyone can help, then that would be appreciated.

I would very much recommend switching to Tomb Editor. It's a fan-developed level editor that's modern and more stable on newer operating systems, with more intuitive user interface, layout and controls.
You can get more info on it here and download the latest version here.

I think with TRNG you just have to manually run every setup EXE you can find until it eventually works. I wish I could remember exactly.

I believe after having run the main setup program, you have to manually copy all the files that came bundled with the setup program into the folder where NG Centre has been installed, then it will work.

This mousepatch program (https://www.aspidetr.com/en/tools/ro...ousepatch-v-2/) supports slowdown while holding SHIFT. In addition, it also allows you to rotate the room view with your middle mouse button, and pan your view with SHIFT + middle mouse button.

I downloaded my TRNG from http://www.trlevelmanager.eu/ng.htm, which has a more up-to-date version compared to your link above. I followed the installation instructions here: https://www.tombraiderforums.com/sho...d.php?t=211830

VB 5 runtime: https://www.trsearch.org/tools

The link to the VB 6 runtime is broken on the above page, so see Kapu's post: https://www.tombraiderforums.com/sho...9685&page=2004

Thanks for the help, guys, that's epic.

I've got another problem, it's with VB 6;

I go to open this file: vbrun60sp6 which is an application, and nothing happens, apparently the Wad merger get's installed automatically with this, so I'm stuck.

Doom Builder 2 was so much easier to set up lol

So the first message reads:

Direct X Error: Ngle failed to create DirectX interface.
You should reduce (in compatibility properties of NGLE program)
the number of colours to 16 (65536), or try to do work NGLE in compatibility mode for Windowsx or 7.

Next one reads:

Not Found compatible Direct X Video Device,
this error happens with some new directx versions.
To fix it, you should click, with right mouse button on NGLE.exe icon,
choose Properties, select Compatibility panel, and in Setting frame,
check the option Reduce Colours, setting 16 bit Colours (65536)

Whut? lol

Never mind, figured it out.
