It seems that Sony and Marvel/Disney have now patched things up and re-negotiated for a deal, that will see Spiderman in a third movie within the MCU universe. Very relieved to hear such great news. Makes for a great start to the coming weekend.

1 more film, 1 more crossover... sounds like they're just going to use this opportunity to wrap up the MCU Spider-Man storyline.

Another day, another director bashing the MCU, except this time, it's coming from a guy who's in no position to be talking : Josh Trank, infamous director of the godawful Fantastic Four reboot, or Fant4stic.
Big words coming from a guy who made one of the worst comic book films of all time. I think somebody's just bitter Kevin Feige is about to make a much better Fantastic Four movie while he'll never be let near the director's chair of any movie ever again. And of course, he deleted his account afterwards, but as David Crooks found out the hard way after bashing TotalBiscuit on Twitter, the internet forgets nothing and he effectively blacklisted himself from the industry with these tweets. Good riddance. |

I'm a total comics virgin (and intend to stay that way forever) so, quick question: is this gonna be something like Dark Phoenix, for which they used one specific beloved iconic saga as source material?

I never believed this "horror" thing would work out...i think for that Marvel/Disney is too "scared" to lose their major audience.
They can risk it on a Tv show level sure, but on the big scale i think they are still too afraid. Which i find a bit weird since i think if you can pull it off then with Doctor Strange. Tackling "horror" with one of their "main" characters is quite a risk. But i dont know enough about the Marvel universe to be sure about that. |

Sam Raimi is in talks to direct Doctor Strange 2.
https://variety.com/2020/film/news/d...mi-1203475309/ I had near-zero interest in this film before. Now, I could chance a watch. |

Raimi returning to Marvel movies? Nice if this happens. Love Evil Dead.
