Yeah, and she's also British.

Lara is inextricably connected to all those films through Angie. Fascinating phenomenon how the miracle seeps into everything and yet, what is the purpose of that function? What is the overarching theme of all these versions of Lara in different scenarios? More importantly, what is the end goal? Is there some sort of overarching inevitability baked into a mirroring multiverse of boredom-busters? A strategically placed convergence point? Is the question even answerable? Are the architects of this network of story systems aware that Lara appears everywhere, or is it not even intentional? I would think that it would have to be for the educational value to be timeless.
mr and mrs smith it was like seeing lara croft and kurtis trent, rumors said that tr3 movie was a aod sequel with brad pitt as kurtis trent , but with aod broken release that movie was canceled

so the idea finally ended in a new movie

i think angie wanted to continue tomb raider but the cabal didnt want it so to relase her frustatrion choose to make lara croft type movies

and yeah the worlds the inconscious colective wants lara croft content so they are a lot lara croft like now in movies anime series etc

It's called 'typecasting'. Nearly her entire filmography is either amazon action queens or cluster-b misfit antiheroes, or both. Not that I don't love to watch her work, but it's kind of a miracle her marriage lasted as long as it did.

I do find it low-key hilarious that By The Sea also came out at precisely the same time she was divorcing Brad, though. It's like "I don't have an internal narrative, I just make movies verbalising what I think"

Yet she did the same with SALT and Mr&Ms smith.

melissa mcarthy?!?!?

Lmaooo

idk how you came up with that but i guess you dont know who she is? shes mainly a comedian and does not fit the body type or attitude of lara croft.

Lol I’m not talking about Melissa McCarthy I’m talking about Jessica Alexander. She played the human disguise of Ursula, Vanessa

Movies work around emotion, and therefore I think that the purpose is to purposely evoke emotion.

To enact feelings, and possibly a development of guilt.
But listen, it is worthless if you make such emotion live with you. It becomes like the box of Pandora, it is better to not feel that way, and do not open this box.

The brain technology is designed to work with crazy people, and guilt is the key to drive a normal person crazy. The thought process is disrupting the silence. A sound of silence that you'll not know again if the technology works with you.

Out thinking emotion is very difficult, but they've basically set it all up. To service who?

That now you can. Think.

Can you imagine that extra terrestrials came down to planet Earth, and asked humans to smoke and suckle a pipe so that these humans got crazy in the head from that smoking, so that the extra terrestrials could rewire the thinking process with technology to give sentient thought. An evolutionary growth in the development of growing intellect that was simply not present in humans who are not crazy. And the extra terrestrials are still trying to get you to their level of thinking.

What if these extra terrestrials are just other humans working on humans. You get the idea. Think a little more.

AOD continuation and Angelina Jolie reprising her role as Lara would literally be a dream come true for me.
Yes, this is exactly how I feel ^_^ Literally a dream come true to continue AOD & see Angelina as classic Lara again. She was the most perfect one.

I also agree with this.
They learned classic, strong, smart, confident Lara into a weak stranger and turned her whole storyline and past around. It was a no from me too. Hated the movies and games bc as another on here stated...Angelina was the perfect Lara for me when I was younger seeing her in this movie meant so much to me

I'd love a adaptation of the TR1 plot for the big screen, Angelina as Lara, and perhaps Cate Blanchett could play Natla.
