Default Summer Forest - GPS - Pick Up

Why is it that in several (maybe all) the games for players, there are some finds, pick-ups, tasks, etc. that are hard to accomplish? In ROTTR, for me, it was throwing a gourd/pumpkin into a barrel obscured behind a fence and leaves. In this one it is the GPS cache on a rock ledge near the waterfall that you make a long awkward jump from a platform and/or shoot a barrier (make sure all enemies are dead) and either jump from rock formation or use wooden slats into opening, slide down slope and jump to climbing wall. Neither of these work for me. After a while it is not fun anymore and you move on.

Can’t do screen shots. She is finding a way out of the forest to the monastery. On the Southwest side. You jump from the wooden hut to a horizontal pole, drop to a perpendicular line and get on a wooden platform. It is one of the 5 caches in the forest area. I researched the two ways to get the cache (as listed above), but can’t accomplish either one.

I usually don’t give up, but just can’t get her to latch on to the wall either (this seems the easier of the choices), but she keeps landing in the water.

Oh, I think I got it now!

I had troubles too, but I figured out eventually.
There is a relic there too right? (a bloody dagger) If so,

Stand on the airplane's wing.
Normally, you have to blast the wooden barrier with the shotgun, then slide down. Now here becomes tricky, because you have to jump at the very end of it (not in midway), just before Lara starts to fall. Press 'e' in midair, then you should be able to climb to the gps cache.

Also near that area, you can pick up a mushroom, to start an another challenge.

Actually funnily enough the easiest way I found to get that GPS cache is to go to the wooden platform in the nearby tree and then jump towards the rocky ledge with the gps cache. Lara will only just make it or hang from the ledge.

Thanks for the info. I finished the game and went back to do The Tomb of the Lost Adventurer. Will try for GPS cache, etc. again after the last DLC comes out for SOTTR next week. Want to complete all DLCs for SOTTR as the forum will be inundated with players’s input.
