If it goes back to Warner Bros and MGM had already committed to Misha's screenplay then it could all go back to the way things were and hopefully with Alicia still attached and approving of any screenplay changes.

Theoretically the whole crisis could be diverted and they can just pick up were they left off, rewrite it for a lower budget and iron out the problems that Alicia had and bring it to the screen.

It's interesting to me that GK Films needs and wants a quick sale and hopefully still has the two year production date claused into the contract allowing a swift production schedule and Alicia still being able to slip back into the part.

Either way hopefully within the next few months we know who the new owner of the franchise is and we see a quick development process of a new film.

Sad to this happen, but I hope a studio gets the hands on the IP and gets things going fast. I also hope we see Alicis come back since I believe she can give a performance of who Lara should really be

It's good to know that GK rights are only for movies

I think Netflix and Amazon will bid high. Netflix would like something Enola Holmes/Red Notice with Lara Croft

Amazon doesn't have IPs for movies and they may want TR IP for action movies.

I think we'll have news soon. The fact that there are several interested parties will mean that the best offer will win

I would like to read the scripts by Ben Withley and Misha Green. I think that Ben was a simple action movie and Misha maybe had more fantasy... Something more like Marvel.

I don't know what to think about this, but it'd be hilarious to see a bit of April Ludgate in this version of Lara. I would definitely pay to see it!

Wow! that's super cool and really seems like inside the Hollywood environment they are very aware of the role being recast. Good call.

I don't mind alicea coming back because looking at the landscape right now there is really a shortage of beautiful young actresses with anything relatable to Lara that actually have prestige and aren't annoying. Alot of the beautiful actresses that were once popular have now aged out of the role or have no relevance left. Alicia would probably have to return for another movie, and I'm okay with that.

Yeesh. What must be wrong with the world, if even Hollywood can't find enough talent to scalp? Do we need to set up some kind of eugenic celebrity breeding program?

After I've finally heard Alicia's performance as Lara Croft in the Tomb Raider Live Experience I'm convince she need to stay. I've got a little pinch in the heart to know it may be the her last time as Lara. With her at the end saying us goodbye and well done.

But like it's good though right!? It's so hard to talk about without proof but when Vikander is having fun with it and has that bit of "experience" it's good stuff!
