I've asked directly creator of these storyboards about musem/Croft Manor. His answer is:

Quote:
"It’s a private museum wing attached to the manor. They are Trinity bad guys stealing the knife that Lara finds in Cozumel at the start which is some kind of key to something bigger later in the movie."
I've asked him about Paititi and he replied that he has never heard this name. But the story was situated in South America:

Quote:
"They did go to the Andes in South America. So possibly Peru. But I never saw the whole script so don’t know the names"

Hopefully we can appeal to the right people on social media and maybe they might be able to release something. #Releasethewheatleyjumpcut

I found some Mike Ploog story boards for the cradle of life. How everything changes from concept to film! For example, the monsters in Africa were animals... they were giant baboons. In the movie they were changed to monsters...

So, Ben's storyboards could have changed a lot by the time they shot the movie.

That would've been racist. But very much more memorable and cooler. And an evolution of the stone temple monkeys in the first movie.

racist?! why?!

The baboon is an animal from Africa... I don't see it as something racist to put aggressive giant baboons. It would have been something very TR
