Sad news regarding Spong

I've made multiple inquiries as to what caused his death and no one will answer me. It's not as if I was doing so for the sake of gossip or notoriety. I was hoping to spread awareness, but somehow that's been deemed distasteful. His symptoms seemed alarming and frightening to me from the outset (For those with access, see his post in MGC - Penny for you thoughts II, dated 06-05-14), but I also am a bit of a hypochondriac. Evidently we're better off in the dark, and have nothing to learn from his harrowing experience.

Justin created this thread on the 8th of August, but in the e-mail he quoted it said:

It's one of those moments where I remember exactly where I was when I heard the news :C

I figured he had died. He had some posts about experiencing crippling pains, which led to him telling us he went to the doctor, then was in hospital where he was told by doctors that it looked like cancer. There were some weeks where there was no more updates/posts by him at all, and given that Spong was cynical about life as is, it was great that he even mentioned anything at all, let alone kept us updated as things progressed.

I still come across threads that he's posted in. He's still funny! I loved all his posts criticizing the new Lara and Camilla

Personally I just put it down to a lifetime of laziness, chainsmoking, living off microwaveable meals, no exercise and that pancreatic attack being dealt with too late. I don't need to know anymore, myself. I don't say any of this to diss him, he once said to me himself he's so lazy he makes sloths look active. XD

I know the last post is 2 years ago but July (dont know the date) marks 3 years since Spong passed away as said at the OP. Man how time files. And that I wish that he was here now that I have recently thought of him and this thread .
